The effective range is just the same as any other comparable fps. A high psi regulator, more voltage and longer barrel will get you well past 800fps - I got 740 fps using lead, 1250psi 13.5V and 23" barrel. but with those mods i named, can i get an effective kill velocity (400 - 750 fps) in the beaten zone (40 - 50 yds out)? no optics, i can figure the sighting out as i've been shooting all my life.
